Writing articles is one of the best and most effective ways of promoting your business and is a low cost marketing tool to drive new business to your product or service.

To get started writing articles to establish your brand, expertise and attract new business follow some simple easy to do steps.

1. Share your knowledge and avoid writing in a hard sell manner. When beginning to write an article, your topic should be about what your potential buyers will find interesting.

The way to find sites that accept articles on your topic is to do a search in the search engines.

Perform a search on your topic plus the key words "article submission" or " your industry name guide - newsletter or resource.

When you find sites in your topic area, evaluate them carefully. Do you find their information of quality and relevant? Do you see your competitors there or similar or complementary business?

If not, don't submit to them. What this means is that if the information is not relevant, looks as though it is just a link farm of articles and not relevant to your business you will not gain potential new clients, establish your creditability and brand and that you have defeated the objective of writing your article.
